(price list valid from 16.3.2006) Locum-Pools Introductory Note: Joining our Big Locum Exchange for the UK will enable employers to use the following useful services: -
Access and contact to one, several or many locums (doctors, nurses etc.) that are available for work in a given region. Create one or several pools of locums that have been screened, inducted and interviewed (and therefore present no significant medical or legal risk). The availability of these "trusted locums" can be checked at any time via an online database. Locums will engage to regularly update their avialbility via the internet. Add existing full-time, part-time or locum staff who might be available or needed for additional shifts occasionally to the pool thereby enabling the employer to check the availability of these locums immediately via the internet in case of urgencies. Alternatively create one big pool of skilled staff from various specialties and areas (like theatre nurses, anaesthetists, A&E doctors etc.) or create several smaller pools for the various areas of work, e.g. one for anaesthesia, one for nurses, one for physiotherapists etc. These small pools can then be handled by the departmentsresponsible for organising locum assignments in the respective area.

Access New Candidates When You Need Them
In principal you may feel you have a sufficient number of locums on your books (or in the pool you have built up using The Big Locum Exchange for The UK). However, life can always create a situation where suddenly need more locums because too few of your existing contacts are available. For employers wishing to be prepared for unforeseeable events (like sudden illness of key staff) we offer prepaid access packages which allow you to get access to new suitable and available locums from our database at any time and to contact them directly - even in the evening or over the weekend. For such situations you can choose from the following options:

Look for suitable and available locums in our online database. Use you prepaid access package to access and contact the persons you feel might be eligible. Advantage: Direct contact can be established within minutes.

Alternatively: Let Healthcarfe Staff Ltd. contact the locum doctor, nurse etc. for you. Disadvantage: no immediate direct contact, at the moment no weekend and evening service (we are planning a 24 hours' service, though). Advantage: We will only find applicants for you who really fully fit your expectations regarding availability and skill profile. If there is a problem regarding availability or skill profile, Healthcare Staff Ltd. will propose an alternative candidate free of charge. -
Alternatively: all arrangements through Healthcare Staff Ltd. Advantage: comfortable and time-saving for you. Disadvantage: delay of direct contact (see above). Other Services
- What do locum doctors, nurses etc. need to know about you? We will present in our website all those data about your institution, hospital, surgery etc. that a locum might need to successfully communicate with you, get there on time, meet with the right persons etc. These data will only be available to the locums in your own pool. Data may include: maps and directions, details on departments, shifts, contact persons, emergency numbers, forms, staff rules etc.
- What do you need to know about an applicant but have no time to address yourself: Upon request Healthcare Staff Ltd. will perform phone interviews or personal interviews with applicants on your behalf. Also we will perform reference checks for you.
